I'm going to have to start naming these "Billion Snapshots of [insert month]" I really tried to narrow it down! I cut out probably HALF of the pictures I took during the month of May!
May was a fun month for us.
- At the beginning of the month I realized I didn't celebrate my birthday with Rose and Lucy, so I made this Milk and Honey cake (in the first picture) so we could celebrate. Rose loves birthday parties... and to be honest, so do I.
- We spent Mother's Day at my grandparents house. I won a super awesome Mother's Day giveaway for a large chocolate cake (from my favorite dessert place), a bouquet of flowers (from my favorite flower shop), and a gift card from a restaurant I haven't tried yet. I brought the cake with me to share with everyone on Mother's Day. Rose and Lucy had a blast playing with Grannie's toys and her dollhouse, with her dress up clothes, and in her backyard. And I enjoyed eating Grannie's food and spending time with my grandparents. One bummer though was that Rose and Lucy both got sick and threw up. Lucy threw up once on Saturday and Rose threw up 5 times on Mother's Day.
- We went with my sister in law, Tressa, to check out BYU's greenhouse. They have one with tropical plants that is super fun to take pictures in.
- We went to the park a bunch of times as a family and spent a lot of time outside.
- I potty trained Rose in May and she did amazing! The first 2 days took a little bit of figuring out but since then she has done awesome! I didn't do nighttime potty training, but I'm not too worried about it. Rose can sleep in a pull-up as long as she/I wants!
- We celebrated Rose's 3rd birthday in May. We had her first ever friend birthday party a few weeks before. She requested balloons, rainbow cupcakes, and candles to blow out. We invited a few of our friends and set up a little pool in the backyard and Rose loved it!
- The weekend of Rose's actual birthday we were in Park City with Ryan's family, so we made another cake and she loved getting to hang out with Grandpa Jason and Grammy Lisa and her kids.
