Ryan had to work on Easter this year, so the girls and I drove up to Brigham City to spend Easter and General Conference weekend with Grannie and Papa. :)
I didn't really plan anything but I had some easter eggs and Grannie had some Hershey's kisses, so we hid a bunch of eggs in the backyard for Rose to find when she woke up in the morning. This was her very first Easter egg hunt, and she is now a big fan! She ended up having at least 3 more Easter egg hunts after Easter was over because she loved finding the eggs (and eating the chocolate) so much! Lucy had fun eating the glitter off of the eggs.
I love when General Conference falls on Easter weekend. I can't think of a better way to celebrate the life, death, and rising again of our Savior and Redeemer than to learn of Him from our prophets and leaders. I'm not huge on the commercialized Easter traditions, the Easter bunny in particular, so it's wonderful when the weekend is extra focused on the Savior.
