St. George Getaway

March 2022

Ryan and I try to go on one trip, just the two of us, per year. We don't get a lot of time to ourselves these days, with work, kids, appointments, family obligations, etc. These trips, while normally pretty small and simple, have been so fun! We took a few days to go down to St. George this year before I got too pregnant to just relax and have fun. Unfortunately, it was in the middle of the school semester, so Ryan had to spend several hours of our trip working on homework assignments, but we still managed to have a lot of fun.

We stopped in Cedar City on Friday so we could do a sealing session at the Cedar City temple. Then we got lunch at a Thai place while we were there.

We checked into our Airbnb later in the afternoon. We were pretty wiped out from the long drive so we walked around the mall (and Barnes and Noble), then went to Ross (a luxury without kids), and then grabbed pizza for dinner.

On Saturday we walked around Pioneer Park, got crepes and sandwiches at Tifany's Creperie (the food there is SO good). And went swimming. Oh and we went to a bunch of yard sales and DI. We are real party animals.

On Sunday, we checked out of our airbnb, went on a little hike at Pioneer Park again, and then drove home to pick up the kids (who stayed with Grandpa Jason and Grammy Lisa).

This trip wasn't quite long enough. It was a little rough going while pregnant and Ryan having to do so much homework. I can't wait until next year when we shouldn't have to deal with either of those things!
