Capitol Reef Camping Trip

March 2022

Having a due date in July meant that if we wanted to go camping this year we would need to get an early start. Capitol Reef is one of the state parks in Utah that I hadn't been to yet, so this was my vote. We went with Tressa, Preston, and Jason (Ryan's dad). Preston borrowed a camper trailer from his family for the pregnant ladies and kids to sleep in. It was different, but I'm glad we had it because it ended up being quite  cold and rainy this time, so we stayed nice and warm at night. Ryan and his dad shared a tent and got to sleep the most because they didn't have Lucy crying all night or Rose waking up every couple hours because she was so excited to have a sleepover with mom. Because of the not so great weather, we only managed to go on one short hike. But it was still a fun trip. We ate good food, had lots of snacks, played games when the girls were napping, and got to see some horses that were right by the campsite. And a big family of deer!

My vote is to never go camping in March in Utah again though. It was too cold for me. I'm more of a perfect weather kind of camper. 😅
